Rimmel - Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick Review | ♡

I've never been a lipstick fan, I've always preferred lipgloss or lip stains because I've often found lipsticks quite drying compared to them and therefore just stuck to not using lipstick however I recently purchased my first Rimmel lipstick and I really like it!
So this is part of Rimmel's Kate Lasting Finish line and I actually purchased this in the shade 03, (I don't think the shades have individual names or if they do I can't find what it is but atleast I know the number) and I decided to go for this shade because it's very natural and I am unfortunate in the fact that lip products that are anything but natural look very bad on me with my skin tone, I cannot wear reds, purples or many pinks without looking incredibly ill which I hate because you see people walking around in Autumn and Winter wearing deep red lipsticks and I just think it looks so nice!
I bought this product because of Zoe Sugg (Zoella) as she often talks about Rimmel lipsticks and I'd always wanted to try one out but I'd just never gotten round to it but now I have this one and I think it's so lovely. As previously said, I tend to find lipsticks very drying however these are different, they're not as hydrating as lip glosses which is what I'm used to however it's wearable and the colours available are so beautiful I only wish I could wear them all!
These lipsticks are good value for money, they cost £5.49 and are worth every penny, I really like these and I'd recommend them to anybody!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Oil Review | ♡

I use a lot of heat on my hair, naturally my hair is wavy and I personally dislike it this way and feel it doesn't suit me. Therefore I straighten my hair and although I don't do this everyday my hair, as well as anyone else who uses heat on theirs is damaged by it. I don't straighten it every single day because I don't need to as my hair maintains it's straightness for 2-3 day depending on what I do, where I go and how I wear it. I do have occasions where I have to straighten my hair two days in a row although I try to not have to do this. I do all I can to protect my hair and to stop it being damaged and this mainly includes using specific shampoo and conditioner, heat protectant and now it also includes the use of the Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Oil.

I use this after I have wash my hair, I just take 2-3 pumps of it and run it through my hair, it basically just stops your hair looking frizzy and makes your hair look super sleek. This product also acts as a heat protectant meaning it's super practical as when you are travelling you only have to carry one product because of it's multiuse functionality (Look at those fancy words there!) As a heat protectant it can withstand up to 230 degree heat which is really good and also this product is infused with coconut oil meaning it smells so nice and leaves you hair smelling really good too!

Autumn Clothing Haul | October 2014

A little while ago I posted about my trip to Brighton with my parents and while I was there I bought a few things so I'll just get straight into the haul...

So the first thing I bought was this top from Topshop, it cost about £16 if I remember correctly, it's just got three-quarter length sleeves and is grey and white. I really like this top although it's very simple but I've worn it twice since I bought it and I love it already, it looks so nice with just black leggings and is such amazing quality!

I then went to Primark and bought a couple of things, the first being this hat which is just this really nice black pork-pie hat, my mum has always told me that hats really suit me and I feel like I really need to own more considering before I bought this one I only had one. I just liked this hat a lot, it cost about £4-£4.50 if I remember correctly (I lost the receipt for everything and am having to just guess prices from what I remember them as.. Sorry if they're way out)

Also from Topshop I just bought a couple more chokers because mine broke and they had a deal on when I was there so I got 2. I love chokers so much, I just feel like they suit me and because I never really wear jewellery they're just something I can wear happily. (I'm pretty sure they cost about £2.50)

While in Primark I saw some tracksuit bottoms, they're literally just standard navy tracksuit bottoms and I just picked them up for lounging about in around home or just as pyjama bottoms and I can't remember how much these were at all...

Also in Primark I saw a load of these jumpers hanging up, they were just long sleeve jumpers with a collar sewn onto them so it looked like you were wearing a collared shirt underneath a jumper. You could get these in multiple colours, I just got it in black although I think there were pink ones and navy ones as well. The collar was just really pretty and lace like and I'm excited to wear this once it's cold enough.

The last clothing item I got in Primark were these thick, almost knit like leggings which are navy and have this festive gingerbread man pattern on them.. Honestly I can't justify why I bought these because I won't wear them until December but they're so comfortable and cute and I just love them to pieces...

I don't like carrying large bags around, I like shoulder bags but my black one recently broke so I decided to replace it with this one I saw in Primark, it's leather like material with gold metal work on it and it's just a really nice bag. Leave a comment down below if you'd like me to do a 'What's in my bag' post because I am contemplating it and I'd just love to know if you guys would like it...

I then went into Superdrug and picked up the 'Zoella Beauty Soak Opera' shower cream which I love, it smells amazing and I love it so much, it's really nice and I'm so proud of Zoe for her beauty range, I've been subscribed to her for the longest time, I also own the body mist which smells amazing as well!

The last thing I bought was this Tanya Burr Lipgloss in the shade 'Chic' and I just really wanted to get one of these because I've read and heard so many good things about them and I've wanted to try one for so long and I actually really love it, it's such a nice colour and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it yet!

Skincare Routine 2014 | ♡

So a couple of people have asked me to post my skincare routine, I wasn't sure if I would or not because I've never really set on one but I'll just post what I use in the evening at the moment...

So the first thing I do is remove my makeup, I use the Simple makeup remover as it takes off even waterproof makeup and I just find it works well and I then use the Garnier Micella Cleansing Water to take off all my face makeup. I really like this as it's just really gentle on the skin and unlike some makeup removers, it doesn't make me break out.

I then use Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion to cleanse my skin and I then use the Simple Soothing Facial Toner, I've only been using these for about 2 weeks but I can see an improvement in my skin already. When it comes to skincare I'm definitely a Simple kind of girl as I just find that it's the brand that works best for me.

If I'm feeling lazy I just use a Clearasil Cleansing Pad after I take my makeup off but I do use these every morning before I do my makeup and before I put my moisturiser on...

I then use the Neutrogena Grapefruit Moisturiser which I did at first think I was allergic to but I've come to the conclusion I'm probably not as I haven't died or anything like that.. I like this moisturiser, I've got combination skin so it's been difficult to find a moisturiser that doesn't make my face a greasy lump but this one is really good for me.

I feel like I mentioned this next item in my May favourites so I won't write much about it (you can go back and read that if you want to) but if I have any spots I just use this, the Origins Super Spot remover, it is just a really good at getting rid of spots and I highly recommend it to anyone..

The last thing I do is use the Body Shop Honey Lip Balm which is another thing I spoke about in my May favourites I think, these are just my favourite lip balms in the whole world, they're just the nicest things and they're so moisturising and I love them to pieces!

Update - Where Have I Been & Turkey ♡

Well hello again, I honestly feel like I've neglected my blog so much, I haven't posted for what feels like a reeeeeally long time and that's purely because I've been so busy recently!

So, where have I been? Well, recently I've just been super busy, I did my GCSE Fine Art Exam (2 years early!!) and over the summer holidays I went away with my mum, we went to Turkey and that was lovely but otherwise I've just been really busy doing all sorts of things and I just started year 10 at school so I've been getting into all my new lessons and getting to grips with things (homework and such, you know the drill!)

===================================================

So, Turkey, this year was the first time my mum or myself visited Turkey and we stayed in an area called Fethiye in a lovely hotel called 'The Yacht Classic Hotel' which was honestly such a nice hotel, the area was lovely and the food was amazing and also the hotel itself was just so lovely! (I believe it is rated 5 stars if I remember correctly..) The Hotel was right on the ocean front, it was far enough away from the town that it was very peaceful but it only took about 10 minutes to walk into there.
We went to a lot of places, we went gorge walking, mud bathing, tried loads of different foods (such as traditional Turkish pancakes which were so good!) and we also went to a local market and lots of other places... I'm just going to stick in some pictures because I don't know really what else to say..

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation | Review ♡

So a few weeks ago now I decided to try out a new foundation because I'd run out of my usual one which I'd been using for a very long time (I'll do a review post at some stage) and I'd not ever had a Rimmel foundation so I decided to go ahead and try out one. When I went into Boots I had full intentions of buying the 'Wake Me Up' foundation however they didn't actually have my skin tone suited colour in stock so I decided to try out the 'Lasting Finish' foundation instead.

My first impressions on this foundation were mixed feelings, I liked the formula but didn't quite like the coverage, I found it very difficult to make it all evenly spread out which I knew was something that could be dealt with fairly easily however over time I disliked this foundation more and more, I'd been spending weekends and evenings experimenting with it and other products to see how they made the appearance vary but overtime I started to dislike the colour, (I know I could've bought a different shade or whatever but to be perfectly honest I don't like the foundation enough to spend more money on it...) and the coverage thing was a really irritating thing to deal with, I don't know if it's just on my skin or if the formula is just not great but in some areas, no matter how much or how little I put on it'd go all creased and cakey, especially around my nose and under my eyes. I honestly couldn't tell you how this foundation's coverage is meant to be, for all I know it could be a high coverage jobby but at the same time they could just intend for you to use very little product (which really would confuse me) but overall I'm not impressed with this foundation as (although some people might be able to work it) I find it really hard to use and it's not worth the money...

Quick Clothing Haul | 2014 ♡

Today I went shopping as I wanted so spend some of my Birthday vouchers and money and bought some bits and pieces in Topshop and New Look so I thought I'd write a quick post showing you what I got, so here we are!

The first thing I bought was from New Look and it's this really pretty mint green t-shirt (£12.99) which I decided to get purely based on the colour of it because I love the colour mint green and really liked that the top was just plain because there's so many patterned tops around at the moment and I was really glad to just find a nice top that I can wear with basically everything...

So I was walking around New Look and I wasn't really focused and I saw this top, read the word and carried on walking without taking in what I'd just read, but then it started to really bug me (don't know why) so I went back to look again but I then instantly recognised the Hogwarts crest and my heart pretty much stopped! You all probably don't know this but I LOVE Harry Potter, it's like a disease, and so I instantly knew I had to have this top but when I looked at the tag it was a size 6 and there was only one which sucked because they didn't have my size but then I spoke to the woman in store and got her to look in the back to see if they had my size, which they did and so I bought the top in both grey and white (although I prefer the grey by far) and I LOVE these tops so much! (£14.99 each)

I also got this top (£12.99) which I just thought was so nice, it's just blue and white with an Aztec kind of pattern and a dark blue lace, I just though this top looked really nice and Summer ish, it's nice quality and really comfortable!

The last thing I bought in New Look were these shorts (£9.99) which I bought because I need some shorts for PE at school and they're just your standard navy shorts, they were about £4 and I just think they're nice simple shorts.

I then went into Topshop and the first thing I bought was this t-shirt type top (£32) which is a really nice blue, black and red chequered pattern that I like because they're actually quite bright colours and the top is just really nice quality.

I then also bought these shorts which are blue and white chequered (apparently I like chequered clothing at the moment...?) and these are really nice, high wasted but the only thing I'm not sure about it the material... I'm not sure what kind of material it is but it's quite bobbly and strange however I think these shorts are really nice and I'm excited to wear them! (£36)

The last thing I bought some of your typical Topshop plain shorts, (£8) I just got them in the plain, light grey so I can wear them with essentially anything and they're comfortable so I could wear them as pyjama bottoms if I so desired...

Brighton Day Out | 2014 ♡

Hey everyone,
So a few weeks ago (as I mentioned in my last post) I went to Brighton for the fist time, I explored all around The Lanes, the shopping centre and spent too much money, I took some pictures in the places I went and thought I'd blog about my day as if you'd all like I'd quite like to post more chatty, day-to-day posts...

I got the bus to Brighton with my mum which took like 2 hours or something so we left really early, the first thing we did was go shopping, we then had lunch and went to the beach before we left to come home... On the bus I basically had a massive fangirl moment when Alfie Deyes favourited my tweet (no shame, no shame...) which was definitely the journey's highlight! I'd never been to Brighton so obviously we couldn't go everywhere but it was nice to spend a day out with my mum because we don't get to do that often, I love visiting places like Brighton and Hastings because I love beaches, they're so cute and I love the sea air!
We also went to ChoccyWoccyDooDah which was so cool because the people that work there are so talented, the thing's they've made are amazing!

May Favourites | 2014 ♡

Hey everyone,
So through May I've tried a load of new things and I feel like I haven't done a favourites post in ages so I decided I have to do one this month...

The first thing I've been loving this month is macaroons, there's a farmer's market that comes to my town every couple of weeks and one of the most recent ones had a macaroon stand so I bought 3 different types, the pink one was Rose, the white/beige one was Apple Pie and the brown one was Chocolate, they were all so nice, especially the apple pie one which to me sounded disgusting but was so nice!

I also tried out the Body Shop lip butters, I bought the Grapefruit one and the Honey one, I don't like the grapefruit one, it is really drying and horrible but I really love the honey one, it's really nice as it smells lovely, it's really nice and moisturising when on the lips and I absolutely love it!

I bought a load of new candles recently and I love them all, especially the Pink Dragon Fruit and the Vanilla Lime ones, they smell amazing, I've nearly finished the Vanilla Lime one so will be finishing the Dragon Fruit one soon...

When I went to Brighton I lost my Krispy Kreme virginity and bought a few back home, I bought these three which were the Oreo one, the lemon meringue one and the banoffee one, they were all so nice, especially the lemon meringue one!

This month I've also been watching loads of films, one of my favourites is the second Hobbit film which I love because I'm really into the Lord Of The Rings trilogy and the Hobbit Films so despite the fact that the ending of this film was awful (you know, because it ended and I have to wait for the next one ;)...)

My skincare favourite for this past month has definitely been the Origins Super Spot Remover because it works so well, it basically dries out the spot and kills it, this small bottle costs about £14 I think which could seem quite steep for such a small bottle but as this product is almost gel like so it lasts ages, I've been using this for almost 2 months now and basically nothing's gone so far, I'd be willing to pay almost £20 for this because it works so well.

My last favourite is this Max Factor concealer which I recently got in the shade Ivory, this product is actually really nice, the coverage is about medium, it's almost like a mixture between the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer and the Collection Lasting Perfection when it comes to coverage which is brilliant because I usually find the Collection concealer too heavy and the Rimmel to thin although I love them too also.

Thank You
