MUA Lipstick Review | ♡

Howdy guys,

Sooo today I have another review for you and this time it will be a review on a lipstick from MUA that it turns out I don't really like. So here's a negative review... (yah cheerful)

So this is the MUA Matte lipstick in the shade 'Wild Berry' which is a really nice colour and everything although I'm not 100% sure if it really suits me or not because I have a feeling dark colours make me look a bit strange. (I don't know whyyy)

Sooo, I got this lipstick as an experiment as the cost £1 which is maaad because they're so cheap and I know lots of people find these lipsticks really nice and yes they have a nice colour but the thing I don't like about this lipstick is that I find them so, so, sooo drying and horrible when they're actually on my lips! I tried putting them on after I'd put on lip balm but that was pointless because then the colour didn't stay so I can't really win with this lipstick!

For all I know there may be other, less drying versions of this lipstick and if there is please tell me via twitter or something, but I personally just really didn't like this lipstick...

Fashion Haul! | ♡

Hey everyone,

So my mum took me out and I ended up buying a fair amount of clothing during that day and so I thought I'd share with you all what I bought, what I think of them and what I'd wear them with, so I'm just going to go straight into it!
So the first thing I bought was this Topshop coat which was in the sale from £95 to £50 however to be fair my mum bought this for me because she's fab and I love her tons for this! So basically this is a green parka which has a fluffy inside that you can unbutton out of it so you can just wear the parka as a thin coat and still look good.

I then bought these trousers from Topshop which are these Gingham Jacquard trousers which I absolutely adore, they're the comfiest trousers I own and they have a zip on your left hip to do them up with, they cost £28 which some people would say that they're too expensive for what they are but I totally disagree, they are so comfortable and go with so much!

The next thing I bought in Topshop was this really nice burgundy cropped jumper which is really fluffy and just so comfortable, it looks really nice with the trousers I bought at Topshop as well as well as really nice with jeans, a skirt or leggings!

After I went to Topshop I went to Primark and bought loads of things, the first thing isn't a fashion item but I got this super soft, white fluffy cushion which cost £4. I now have this on my bed and it's so soft and fluffy that words cannot even describe, it isn't patterned as such but the fluff is sewn on in this way which makes it have a rose affect.

I've seen Zoella rave about the Primark Super Cosy tights so I thought I'd get a couple of pairs so I did and although I am yet to wear them they fabric feels so soft and like it will be really cosy and comfortable to wear that I can't wait to wear them soon!

I then saw these adorable My Little Pony socks by the till and it had a buy one get one free sign on them so I picked them up and got a couple of pairs, one pair cost £2.50 and I just thought they were super cute just to wear at home!

The next thing I got was a clutch bag which was £5 in the sale and I picked this up because I'm going to a wedding soon and it'll look super nice with the dress that I'm planning on wearing!

I was just walking around and then I saw this super sweet little pink shirt which is partially sheer and it was the only one left and I just had to have it so I looked at the size and it was my size exactly which was brilliant so I picked it up and I don't regret buying it at all. This top cost £8 and it's gorgeous and can be worn as a dressy shirt or a casual one.

The next thing I got in Primark was this top which I instantly fell in love with and had to try on, it just looks so summery and therefore I picked it up because I thought it'd look fab with dungarees, it cost £4 and I love it!

I then bought a bag from Primark which cost £12, it is black and has three compartments, two which have zips, the compartments are big enough to fit in A4 books and then the middle section has a popper, I use this bag as a school bag and I really like it and it has a shoulder strap as well as a arm handle.

I also bought this top in Primark which I thought also looked really summery and cute which again was the reason I picked it up and it's another top that should look really cool with something like dungarees or leggings or anything really, it cost £5 and has this super cute ice cream pattern on it.

I then looked in the Pyjama section of Primark and came across this Elmo pyjama set which I just knew I had to buy because Elmo was basically my childhood and something about how brightly coloured these pyjamas are just instantly drew me to them, the top cost £5 and the bottoms cost £7!

I also bought some leggings for the gym which are just plain black, three-quarter length leggings that I've now used and they're super brilliant for at the gym and they aren't remotely see-through and are really comfortable.

The last thing I bought in Primark was this denim pair of dungarees which are absolutely adorable and look awesome with both the watermelon top and the ice cream printed top, they're short ones and cost £12.

After this I went to H&M and bought some stuff from there and spent way too much, the first thing I bought was this gorgeous black top which has a very sheer top and arms, dotted with velvet polka-dots and that is mostly just normal t-shirt type material. I absolutely love this top and it cost me £12.99.

I then, in H&M bought a black maxi skirt which I adore, I've never owned a maxi-skirt before and thought I may as well get one considering how much I liked this one although it was quite expensive, costing £24.99. It's one of the kind that has a pencil type skirt inside and the rest of it is quite sheer and I can't wait for it to get a bit hotter so I can wear it.

In H&M I also bought a phone case because I really like the cases they do there, this particular case cost £5.99 which is slightly on the pricey side but I really liked it because it has a snake skin affect which is really cool and the case itself is textured which is super cool however when it's on my phone it gets stuck to my bathroom sink all the time.

The last thing I bought was 3 rings which were all in the sale for £1, hence why I got them. (from left to right) The first one I got fits my middle finger, it's gold and a knot ring, the second is a brass-gold ring that fits my ring finger and it really chunky which is my favourite of the three and the last one I got looks a bit like a massive, cheap engagement ring, it's silver and has a huge diamond type fake gem on it.

Thank you all for reading, I apologise if this post was reeeeeally long and boring x

Collective Beauty Haul | ♡

Hey guys,

So I've recently I have purchased a fair few products from Boots and Superdrug which either I have never tried before, have owned previously or just really wanted to try and therefore I thought I'd do a post on what I bought and what I think of them all so far!
So firstly I bought these Clearasil Pads which I've been using for years and absolutely love, you basically rub them all over your face and then they do great things to your skin, these ones are for spots, they prevent them or kill them if you have any and I absolutely love them!

I also started to wear fake nails again so I thought should get some nail remover because I hate it when you have glue stuck on them so I wanted something really good to take them off with and despite the fact that this is cheap it's really good. I got this from Superdrug and it's one of their own products, it smells horrible but the product is really good.

I also decided to try out one of the MUA lipsticks because they're only £1 and you really cant go wrong with something that's only £1! I got this in the colour 'Wild Berry' because I don't have any dark colours that suit me and this one was not only cheap but nice looking. I can't decide if I like this or not because I find it quite drying unless I use some kind of lip butter or balm...

I also bought this nail polish which is Maybelline nail polish in the shade 'In Your Flesh' which is one of their new nude polishes and it is possibly my new favourite from Maybelline because I can wear it for school and get away with it there and I love painting/having painted nails so this is great because it means I can paint my nails more often!

Boots were having a 3 for 2 hence why I took full advantage of it and bought 3 Maybelline nail polishes, I also got the luminous yellow type shade which is called 'Electric Yellow'  and I've used it twice already and I love it, loads of people don't like yellow nail polish but I really like it because I like bright colours loads recently.

And finally I got a florescent orange shade called  'Wow Orange' and I love it so much because orange is my favourite colour and as I said, I've been really getting into bright colours recently so this is just perfect, I haven't actually used this yet as it's very similar in colour to Barry M's Gelly Satsuma nail polish, I bought it because I thought this Maybelline one looked like it was a brighter colour but they're very similar so although I will use this I do have another one that's basically the same...

I also bought three Sinful Nail Polishes because I really wanted to try them out and they are so amazingly priced at only £1.99 each! Also they were part of Boots' 3 for 2 deal so I bought 3 colours which I've tried out and they're all really good!

So the first colour I bought was in the shade 'You Just Wait' which is really pretty, it's a really pale pink with a metallic kind of shine, it's really sheer so if you want a really noticeable colour you have to layer it but it's really pretty and such a cute, girly colour!

I also got a nail polish in the shade 'Pistache' which is a really nice dark mint green colour and it's so nice, if you've ever used the Model's Own polish in the shade 'Apple Pie' you'll know that's a pale mint green shade, this is just like a darker version which I prefer because I don't like having pale nails nearly as much as having dark nails.

The last colour I got is in the shade 'Cinderella' which not only do I love the name of but the colour is really pretty, it is this lovely pale blue shade and is full of glitter which looks so nice when on, it is actually quite a lot like the colour of Cinderella's dress at the ball in the film, it's gorgeous!

I also bought this moisturiser from Neutrogena because my mum got me the Grapefruit facewash a month or two ago so I decided to get the moisturiser and I've been using it for nearly 3 weeks and it is so nice, it's really gentle on my skin, it's light and smells amazing!! The only thing is, I think I might be allergic to it because it makes my eyes hurt quite a lot and go all puffy, it makes me really tired for some reason as well so I use it before I go to bed because it makes me fall asleep really easily.

I also purchased the Origins spot remover because lots of people have said that this product is truly excellent and I haven't actually used it yet as I haven't had any spots, I don't like the smell much and some people say that this is too expensive for what it is considering it's £14 however when you use it you really don't need much at all so really it lasts ages!

I wanted a new foundation so I decided to purchase this Rimmel 25 hour Lasting Finish foundation because I've never had a Rimmel foundation before and I hadn't really heard any reviews about it and I wanted a medium coverage foundation which I have heard this is so I gave it a try and it's really nice on, it's not at all cakey and feels really nice on my skin however if I put too much on it can go a bit orange.

I decided to buy a couple of Revlon lip butters because I've never tried them but heard they're amazing so I bought two and the first one is in the shade 'Honey Douce' which I have taken to wearing everyday almost for school because it's a bit darker than a natural lip colour however it looks natural still and it's really pretty.

I also bought it in the shade 'Tease Seductrice' which is this really nice orange shade which I am more likely to wear during a holiday because I think it'll look better with a tan/darker skin tone because although it doesn't look bad on me and I could happily wear it any day but I just think it'll look better with darker skin.

I also bought a couple of bath bombs because I used up all of mine so I went to Lush and got these two because I've never used them before wanted to give them a try. I haven't used either of these yet and I may do a review once I have but the first one I bought was the 'Honey Bee' which smells like Honey (obviously) and a bit citrusy.

The other one I bought was the 'Dragon's Egg' bath bomb which smells reeeeeally nice, it's a bit like lemon sherbet and because I love citrus scents this is amazeballs and everything.

The last thing I bought is this Maybelline Eye Colour tattoo in the shade 'Pink Gold' which is a really pretty pale pink colour with a gold shimmer, I like to sometimes use this as a base or sometime, more often for school I'll just wear this on my eyes with eyeliner and mascara because it looks quite natural and really pretty!

Thank you all for reading, I'm planning a huge fashion haul as well as a few reviews in the near future and maybe a 'products I've used up' tag blog post. I have also decided to not post my monthly favourites every month, I'm more likely to do them if I feel like it, if I've used enough new products and I'll be posting them at least every two-three months!

Maybelline Eyeliner Matic || Review ♡

Hey everyone,

Over the past few months I've started to use eyeliner quite a lot more than I used to, when I decided to start using it again I only had one eyeliner in my makeup collection so I went ahead and tried it out, the eyeliner was the Maybelline Eyeliner-Matic, I'd owned it for about 2 years and there was literally about one use left in it which I used up. Because of how old the product was I wasn't sure whether they'd still sell it so I decided to go and see if they still sold them in Boots and it turned out, to my delight, that they did!

I usually judge products by their packaging and to be honest I don't really like this packaging, when I had it before (from like 2 years ago) it was much nicer and sleeker, (hence why I found it so hard to find this product again, haha) but I really love this eye liner for many reasons and I wasn't going to not get it again because of the packaging change! Firstly, this eyeliner isn't one of the ones that just kind of disappear off your eyes for like no reason, it stays on really well, especially on my waterline.

(sorry for the photo quality I don't know what happened here)

This eyeliner is a pencil liner which I love because I'm pretty much awful at using liquid liners in every way possible, (I once got it in my eye and it literally blotted out all my vision and all I could see was blackness) also I like the fact that you twist the top to get the actual pencil out of the packaging, (it's like the eyeliner led or whatever, I'm poop at describing these things, no matter what I do this is going to sound beyond kinky!) so you twist the case and the liner comes out, the bottom of the pen has a sharpener which is really cool despite the fact that I'm totally unable to work it...

I like the fact that the liner isn't totally black although if you layer this (it only takes two layers) it can go totally black which I love, so you can have this as quite a natural eyeliner as well as a cool, bold one! I find this eyeliner really easy to apply and it doesn't feel remotely heavy on my eyes either which is always a bonus! I really recommend this to anyone looking for a good black pencil eye liner because it's really nice on the eye and I just really love it!

January Favourites 2014 ♡

Hey everybody,

So I've decided not to set a particular schedule for when I post on my blog yet so for the time being I'm just going to post whenever I feel like posting and to be perfectly honest I really want to post daily but I know I'd run out of things to post about so quickly as the concept of an academic life is not remotely exciting to read about on a day to day basis... (Hi today I went to school, I learnt some stuff, ate a sandwich and stuff then spoke to my friends at lunch, then I went home and ate dinner, bye...)

So January is over and I thought I should go ahead and write out my monthly favourites for this past month, this isn't intended to be a long introduction because this post is going to be oooooober long, so without further or do, lets get started!

Firstly, this year I have been absolutely loving the 'Collection Lasting Perfection' concealer, most British, female, beauty Youtubers rant about the amazingness of this at some stage or another and after seeing it mentioned in countless videos I thought I'd try it out as it's a drugstore product and it's price is brilliant! (£4.19) Because of the highly affordable price I was sceptical about how well it'd work originally but when I tried it out I loved it, it's a higher coverage concealer which works well on blemishes and dark under-eye circles really well, some people compare this to MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer however I've never owned the MAC concealer so I couldn't honestly agree. Also I'd never really owned many concealers before I purchased this one, I'd only ever had the Rimmle Wake Me Up Concealer which I was dissatisfied with as it's coverage was not all I expected it to be and for the price I felt it wasn't worth is when you could have something five times better for nearly half the price!  Overall however, I'd really recommend this concealer to anyone as it's super good quality and lasts a fairly long while, also it's super affordable!

Another thing I've been loving throughout January is Fudge's 'Urban Iced Raspberry & Vanilla' hairspray. This hairspray is my favourite ever hairspray because although I personally don't think it smells like Iced Raspberries or Vanilla, it smells so good and I know some people don't like the smell but it's a matter of opinions, I think it smells fab... Another reason I've been loving this hairspray is because it has a really good hold time, I use it for setting my fringe into place everyday and if I curl or straighten my hair I'll put some of this onto it to prolong hold time. Also this isn't the typical hairspray that makes your hair all sticky and gross and possibly my favourite part about this hairspray is that it's soft touch which is what I mainly look for in a hairspray because I hate it when your hair looks all disgusting and crispy and to be honest it's rare you find a hairspray you like that is both soft touch and firm hold which is another reason I love this hairspray.

I don't really like wearing heavy make up and I have been experimenting with different foundations over 2013 to find my favourites and in January I found 2 I really like. The first is Maybelline's 'Dream Fresh BB Cream' which I really like because it's not really high coverage, it isn't shiny and it also isn't sticky. This BB Cream is oil free which is good, also it's very easy to blend, it's quite a silky feeling liquid which makes it smooth looking , it blurs blemishes and it is also it isn't remotely cakey which is brill! Also I've been really liking using Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse when I feel like going for a slightly higher coverage and I really like this foundation because it feels nice when applying and it doesn't feel cakey or heavy on my skin, when I do wear this I don't use a brush to blend it because I personally prefer to use my fingers although I don't like it when it's just on my fingertips once I have finished applying it because I never really know what to do with myself then...

Recently I've begun to wear perfume a lot more and my current favourite perfume is Hope Cove from Jack Wills. (I actually bought this for my mum but she then bought one for herself the same so I got to keep this one!) I don't know how to describe this perfume's scent but it smells a bit like apple and cassis but it also smells faintly of vanilla and amber too. Reading back on that it makes it smell horrible but describing smells isn't easy for me, to be honest if you want to go smell it then you should because I really can't describe it...

I have never owned a nude pallet before and a few months ago I went out and purchased Sleek's Au Naturel pallet (601) because I've really wanted it for a while, like I said I bought this a few months ago and I only started properly using it through January. In this pallet there is a white, a grey ish brown tone, about 3 champagne colours that get darker, a couple of glittery brown colours and there are also some dark browns and a black in there too, some of the colours are really good for doing smoky eyes and I'd really recommend this pallet because I really like it!

I've always loved the Body Shop products and I recently invested in a couple of their body mists, I must admit I think they're a bit over priced, at around £12 each although I actually got the right hand side spray in the sale for about £3 which I was really happy about because that's literally a quarter of the normal price! I have just the two sprays in this photograph, the one on the right is mango and smells amazing and then the one on the left is supposed to smell of Brazil nuts but smells like some kind of chocolate to me and most other people, it's really nice though although it is really quite a sweet scent which I do find sickly in large quantities...

So for Christmas I  got some GHD's from my parents, these are the GHD Eclipse and they are honestly the most amazing straighteners I have ever owned, they are the only ones strong enough to actually straighten my hair (for some reason most straighteners don't work on my hair, don't know why..?) and to be honest I love all the little noises they make like when you turn them on, when they're ready to be used and when you turn them off. Also I like that they steam when you use them because I've never had any that did that before and for some reason I find is super satisfying... I must say that overall these are really amazing straighteners and although yes, they are a lot of money, they are totally worth it!

Finally the last thing I've been loving throughout January is this Soap and Glory hand cream, this doesn't have the typical Soap and Glory scent, it is, in my opinion, much nicer than the normal one as it has of pomegranate, Shea butter, macadamia and grapeseed oils in it although I don't think it particularly smells of any of these, once again I have no idea how to describe this scent, I just think it is really nice and feels so velvety on my hands, it suggests you could put this on before you go to sleep at night and then wear cotton gloves over the top whilst you are sleeping, I really like to do this because in the morning my hands feel super nice and soft and smell so nice too! Basically this is my favourite hand cream ever and for how amazing it is I have no problem with spending £6.50 for it and I'd recommend this to everyone!

Thank You ♡
